Dog Factor was founded in 2018 by Ana Inês Antunes,

due to her dog, Django, who became an inspiration to embrace this project that aims to improve communication and relationship between owners and their four-legged friends.

After 12 years working as a Veterinary Assistant, where she developed skills and knowledge both in nursing and in stress-free handling dogs and cats, she continued her studies by doing specialized education in the area of animal behaviour and well-being, in addition, she participated in various seminars, workshops, lectures, webinars and congresses.

Ana Inês believes that Ethology and Behaviorism are sciences that, in addition of being constantly evolving, are important for those who deal with animals on a daily basis, therefor is mandatory professional updating and knowledge of them not only in dogs but also in cats, horses and other animals.

When interacting with animals she bases on natural communication and mutual respect.

Her approach to behavioural modification and animal training is based on scientific methods without any use of force and abusive tools that cause pain or suffering, always respecting animal welfare.

At an ethical level, she believes in the following acronym:

LIMA

"least intrusive, minimally aversive”
